2. Visiting our website
When you visit our website, technical data is processed automatically. This includes your IP address, the time of access, the page requested and information about your browser and device. We need this data to provide the website and protect it against misuse and technical attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Our website is hosted by easyname GmbH in Vienna.
3. Orders
When you place an order, we process the information needed to handle the order and delivery. This includes your name, email address, telephone number, delivery address and, where selected, location details, the products ordered, delivery time, payment status and any notes you provide. Processing is necessary to perform the contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Without the required information, we cannot process your order.
Where necessary, the payment, communication or delivery providers involved in fulfilling the order receive the information they need. Business and payment records required by law are generally retained for seven years. Other order data is kept only as long as it is needed to handle the order or possible legal claims.
4. Payment
Online payments are processed through Stripe. Stripe processes the payment data required for the method you select. We do not receive full card details, only the payment status and a payment reference. Processing is necessary to perform the contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
5. Contact and notifications
If you contact us or send a complaint, we process your contact details and the content of your message so that we can respond. Order confirmations and other necessary emails are sent through Resend. We use Telegram for internal notifications relating to order handling. Only the information needed for the relevant order is shared. Processing is necessary to perform the contract or respond to your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, the transfer is based on an adequacy decision, EU standard contractual clauses or another legally recognised safeguard.
6. Maps and location search
We use OpenStreetMap services to display maps and search for delivery addresses. When you use these features, technical data such as your IP address, search request or selected location may be sent to the relevant map service. A delivery location you select is stored with the order.
7. Cookies and local storage
Our website uses technically necessary cookies and browser storage, for example to keep your shopping cart and privacy settings available. Analytics and marketing services are used only after you have consented. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through ‘Cookie settings’ at the bottom of the website.
8. PostHog Analytics
If you consent to analytics cookies, we use PostHog to understand how our website is used and which areas can be improved. Usage data such as page views, product interactions and technical browser and device information is processed for this purpose. Where session recordings are enabled, form entries are masked. Processing is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
9. Marketing and performance measurement
If you consent to marketing cookies, we may use services from Meta, Google and TikTok to measure whether our advertising led to a visit or an order. For more accurate attribution, a hash value may be created from your email address or telephone number. Google or Meta receives only this hash value, not the readable email address or telephone number. Processing takes place only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through the cookie settings.
10. How long we keep data
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the relevant purpose or a legal retention period applies. If you withdraw consent, optional collection stops for the future. Data that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.
11. Your rights
Subject to the legal requirements, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time for the future. To exercise your rights, contact hello@biteva.at.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects for you.
